| "EARTHQUAKE 1: One day after the Birth. EARTHQUAKE 2: One day after the Resurrection. Don't you think God is trying to tell us something?" -Leon Lester, NSW (The Age 31/o3/2oo5) | | |
| She sounds like she has been crying. And all at once you are alarmed and concerned and you do not know how to show it. You ask. You want to say - tell me. So you say it, and you wonder if you are being too forceful or assuming.
This what it means to be a friend, to stand back and not feel hurt when you think someone you care about doesn't want to tell you why they are hurting.

| don't ask questions when you don't wanna hear the answer.
predictably, her eclectic style. what do you call it? a sense of gary emery; a touch of originality; preternaturally innocent.
it's irrevocable... | | |
| Meeting new people: it is a strange and fearsome thing. You let another person into your heart and you begin to care about how they see you. She lies on her bed and the room is a plaster cast around her. She thinks about them thinking about her. What prejudgements are they formulating, what's the verdict? She thinks about what she has said, and, more so, the way she has said it. Was her tone of voice too loud, too forceful? Did she laugh too much, so it seemed insincere? Does she care if they think she is intelligent or not?
You think me proud, but I am shrinking. She closes her eyes and lets Ani DiFranco wash over her.
distance shows your silhouette to be a lot like mine a sphere yes a sphere and all that's here has been here all the time

| I’ve found that most people, some more than others, have days where they feel like they are barely surviving through the day and barely getting by. When I think of being alive, I see more than just having a heart beat and skin and bones but more as seeing life for all that God has made it to be. All the clichés about living life to the fullest and making the most of every day had to mean something at one point, why not go back to that pure thought every once in a while? If we love our lives, the people around us, and our God, I believe that encompasses living, because all of those things are worth living for. - Rachael Lampa ===================================================
Being Alive by Rachael Lampa
I don't wanna wake up in a crowded room No room to move Clowns to the left of me Jokers sniffing helium from balloons Cuz they got nothing better to do You know those days when you can't hear above the noise And all your doubts deployed Its getting late and you're getting bored With the status you cling to
Being alive is breathing in and breathing out Being alive is knowing what you're gonna live for It's waking up another morning in the arms of love So say you will, don't say you won't give in When love comes and when it does you're asking where it will come from You will live long enough to learn, long as you have some love...
Do you ever wake up and find that you're The only one that's standing still Just part of the drill- no big deal Today is just another thing to get through And as the day goes passing by I run down the list of all the things I meant to try I meant to fly I just never got around | | |
